When was the last time you sat down and thought about what it is you truly believe? It’s not something we naturally think about. In fact, we usually go about our day not really giving much thought as to why we believe what we believe.
We are called to live out our lives for the Kingdom of God by helping more people find true life in Jesus Christ.
The church is a community of believers who are working together to create an atmosphere of showing people the church is a safe place, a place to belong, worship, grow, serve and discover God. The eternity of people’s lives is hinged on the church members doing their part in showing people the love of God.
So what does this mean for you?
You are called with a holy calling.
Nothing in life is certain. We have our ups and downs, our comings and our goings. But one thing is true, God has called us to a holy life–not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. (2 Tim. 1:9 NIV).
We were called with a holy calling to show the world our good works. Why? So they can glorify God. God made us to do good works. He called us in advance fo us to live our lives doing and being the hands and feet of Jesus. We are his servants.
He called us to worship as a body.
Everyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior is a member of the body of Christ–member of the church. But one thing we are to not neglect is the worshipping together with other believers. The local church is not only the hope of the Word, it is a place to worship God.
Psalm 34:3 (ESV); “Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!” We find over and over in scripture that the apostles and believers gather regularly to break bread and praise God together. It is in these moments where God moved and grew the fellowship (Acts 2:47) of those who were being saved.
Don’t neglect to come to church. We are called to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together. The more we worship and praise God together, the stronger we become in our faith.
He has called us to grow in our faith.
It’s easy to let life get in the way of our faith. It’s easy to forgo our daily prayer and reading of scripture. Why? Because it’s not a habit.
There is so much we can learn about God, his word, and his church but we have to make the time. “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ…” (Eph 4:15 ESV).
How do we grow/become more like Christ? Spend time with him and do what he did. The more we serve others. The more we share the love of God and the more we allow patience to seep out of our hearts, we’ll find more and more people drawn to a Savior they need.
We are called to a holy life, but we have to first decide is the Word of God and prayer just as important to us as air? I know for me, it is.

We are excited about this year’s egg hunt and Easter weekend. Help share the love of Jesus this Easter by partnering with us in this family fun, outreach event.
Next weekend, March 26, we will be having a water baptism. We’ll be rejoicing in the public proclamation of those who’ve placed their faith in the Lord.
If you would like to be baptized, respond to this email and say “Yes, I’d like to be baptized” or simply call the church office.
